Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Government and IAP vaccination schedules?
The Government schedule provides basic, essential vaccines free of cost to manage mass public health. The Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) schedule is much more comprehensive. It includes premium protections against Pneumococcal disease, Typhoid, Varicella (Chickenpox), Hepatitis A, and HPV, ensuring maximum individual protection for your child.
Why is it important to get vaccinated at a specialized clinic instead of a standard camp?
At VaxiClinics, we use freshly procured vaccines maintained under strict 100% cold-chain protocols (2°C to 8°C). Furthermore, vaccines are administered by an expert pediatrician (Dr. Vishal Parmar), ensuring proper medical assessment, correct dosage, and safe injection techniques—unlike standard camps often run by short-trained health workers.
What should we do if we missed a scheduled vaccine dose?
Do not panic. You do not need to restart the entire series. We follow specific, scientific "Catch-up Schedules" recommended by the IAP. Simply book a consultation, and Dr. Vishal Parmar will safely adjust the intervals to bring your child's immunization back on track.
Why are annual flu shots necessary?
The influenza (flu) virus mutates and changes every year. An annual flu shot is specifically formulated to protect against the most current, dangerous circulating strains of the virus, preventing severe respiratory illness and hospitalization for both children and adults.
What is the difference between normal and painless vaccines?
Normal vaccines (DTwP) use whole-cell pertussis, which can frequently cause high fever, pain, and swelling for a few days. "Painless" vaccines (DTaP) use acellular pertussis components. They offer excellent, globally recognized protection while drastically reducing post-vaccination fever, pain, and swelling, making the experience much more comfortable for the baby.
What is the difference between Gardasil 9, Gardasil 4, and Cervavac?
Gardasil 9 (MSD) provides the broadest protection against 9 strains of the HPV virus, offering premium cancer prevention. Gardasil 4 protects against 4 strains. Cervavac is an indigenous Indian vaccine by Serum Institute offering highly affordable 4-strain protection.
